You may only open an account with Seed At The Table upon your consent to receive electronic communications from us. This policy describes how Seed At The Table delivers communications to you electronically. We may amend this policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The revised version will be effective at the time we post it unless the revised version includes a substantial change. If the revised version includes a substantial change, we will provide you with 30 days’ prior notice by posting notice of the change on the “Policy Updates” page of our website. Electronic delivery of communications

You agree and consent to receive electronically all communications, agreements, documents, notices and disclosures (collectively, “Communications”) that we provide in connection with your Seed At The Table account (“Account”) and your use of our services. Communications include, but are not limited to:

• agreements and policies you agree to (e.g., the Seed At The Table Terms of Use Agreement and the Seed At The Table Privacy Policy), including updates to these agreements or policies;
• educational materials, notices, and confirmations; and
• any other Account or transaction information.

We will provide these Communications to you by posting them on neighborcapital.org and/or by emailing them to you at the primary email address listed in your Seed At The Table profile.

Hardware and software requirements

In order to access and retain electronic Communications, you will need the following computer hardware and software:

• a computer with an Internet connection;
• a current web browser that includes 128-bit encryption with cookies enabled;
• Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8.0 and above or similar software to open documents in .pdf format;
• a valid email address (your primary email address on file with Seed At The Table); and
• sufficient storage space to save past Communications or an installed printer to print them.

We will notify you if there are any material changes to the hardware or software needed to receive electronic Communications from Seed At The Table. By giving your consent you are confirming that you have access to the necessary equipment and are able to receive, open, and print or download a copy of any Communications for your records. You may print or save a copy of these Communications for your records as they may not be accessible online at a later date.

How to withdraw your consent

You may withdraw your consent by contacting us via the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of each page of the Seed At The Table website. If you fail to provide or if you withdraw your consent to receive Communications electronically, Seed At The Table will either deny your application for an Account, restrict or deactivate your Account, or close your Account. If you withdraw your consent to receive electronic Communication, any investment commitment you make will be canceled.

Requesting paper copies

You may request a paper copy within a reasonable time after we first provided the electronic Communication to you by contacting us via the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of each page of the Seed At The Table website. We may charge you $0.20 per page or a minimum of $5 for each paper copy that you request.

Updating your contact information

It is your responsibility to keep your primary email address up to date so that Seed At The Table can communicate with you electronically. You understand and agree that if Seed At The Table sends you an electronic Communication but you do not receive it because your primary email address on file is incorrect, out of date, blocked by your service provider, or you are otherwise unable to receive electronic Communications, Seed At The Table will be deemed to have provided the Communication to you.

Please note that if you use a spam filter that blocks or re-routes emails from senders not listed in your email address book, you must add Seed At The Table to your email address book so that you will be able to receive the Communications we send to you.

You can update your primary email address at any time by logging into the Seed At The Table website, going to “My Account”, and selecting the “Profile” tab. If your email address becomes invalid such that electronic Communications sent to you by Seed At The Table are returned, Seed At The Table may deem your Account to be inactive, and you will not be able to transact any activity using your Seed At The Table Account until we receive a valid, working primary email address from you.

Consent

By selecting “Yes, I consent to electronic Communication,” you consent to receive all Communications electronically. You also agree that every time you click on an “I Agree,” “I Consent”, “I Certify” or other similarly worded button or entry field with my mouse, keystroke, or other device, your agreement or consent is legally binding against you and is the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature on an agreement that is printed on paper. You agree that any affirmation, assent, or agreement that you transmit or have transmitted through this website by computer or other electronic device, including internet, telephone, tablets, and wireless devices, is binding. You further agree that your computer satisfies the hardware and software requirements specified above and that you have provided us with a current e-mail address at which we may send electronic communications to you.
